The God Who Manifests As Father
This Father’s Day message opens up to us a new level of a very real relationship with God as our Father. In I Chronicles 29, David praises God’s many wonderful attributes. But first and foremost, David says, “Blessed are You, O Lord God of Israel our father, forever and ever.” He recognized that above all things, God is our Father.
We must recognize that everything God is doing comes through this relationship to us as Father. This pattern can be seen in the Scriptures. When God judged the gods of Egypt, He was bringing His sons into a relationship with Him. When God brought forth salvation, He did it in a Father-Son relationship. And from that time until now, God as our Father is bringing forth His Kingdom through a relationship to His sons.
Today, we worship God for all that He is. He is powerful, He is wonderful—beyond description and comprehension. He is over all things and created all things, but He chooses to relate to us as our Father. Let it be that real and personal. Father, help us see that in everything You are doing, You are bringing each of us into a personal relationship with You as our Father.
